This product demonstration shows EZ Street asphalt's ability to work in the presence of water. Pothole repair couldn't be any easier. The first step is to sweep away any loose debris, dust, unstable base material or broken pieces of pavement (including "alligator" cracked areas). It is not necessary to sweep out the water.
Next, pour the EZ Street asphalt directly into the water-filled pothole. There's no mixing, and no tack coat is required. The product can be compacted with a hand tamper. No special equipment is needed. For potholes deeper than 10 cm, compact the material in 5 cm layers. The final EZ Street lift should be placed just over the level of the existing pavement allowing for optimal secondary compaction as a result of traffic flow. That's it! The entire pothole repair process should only take a few minutes, and the pothole repair can be opened up to traffic immediately.
